It has an added strap button on the bass horn, and the “E” emblem appears reglued to tremolo. This particular example’s finish is quite well preserved, with hardly any serious wear. This past February I bought the Epiphone ES-335 with a figured maple top in the Raspberry Ice Tea finish. I bought a new Epiphone Casino Coupe in 2016, then later got a Gibson Es-390 (basically same model as the Epiphone). This instrument feels excellent in hand, and these two original dog ear P-90s sound stunning amped up. From my personal experience it is the other way around.
Check out this gorgeous, all-original 1961 Epiphone Casino in Royal Tan! 1961 is the first of production for this legendary model, and as an early example prominently features a “bikini” logo plate on the headstock and its original Tremotone vibrola.
